Weaver Fever

My kit for this quilt arrived.

I was surprised with the coloring. The photo I have looked more yellow and it is actually more a gold and the blue is more a deep teal or turquoise and I like it very much. Have a second one coming next month, but didn't read closely enough and it isn't large enough for a queen sized bed which it seems is now the size most people have. Don't think the regular or full size mattresses are very available any more.

I've found that this fabric is still available so will order enough to make it queensized. Will either add more lattices or will add additional borders to enlarge - that is still in the planning process.

I have an auction I won on EBay of some Fat Quarters that are called blenders. Also found a neat quilt pattern yesterday that would work great as a scrappy type quilt using 12" squares of various fabrics. Some were repeated in diagonal rows another had each square of a different fabric. The sashing and cornerstone application formed a star. It looked like an easy quilt with a pretty finished result.
I've add other color combinations of this fabric. Yes you are right I'm thinking of at least doing one with the Poinsettias.
